Aaron E. Eckhart was born on March 12, 1968 in Cupertino, California, USA. He is a American film actor who nominated at Golden Globe Awards for Best Actor in Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his role in Thank You for Smoking.
He also starred in Erin Brockovich (2000), The Black Dahlia (2006) and The Wicker Man (2006).
His next role is that of District Attorney Harvey Dent in the sequel to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, due in 2008.
Eckhart was engaged to actress Emily Cline, but separated from her in 1998.
